About the Center
The Center on Standards, Alignment, Instruction, and Learning (C-SAIL) examines how college- and career-readiness standards are implemented, if they improve student learning, and what instructional tools measure and support their implementation.
Our Center’s work is designed to learn from past successes and failures of standards-based reform.
There is considerable evidence that standards-based reform can improve instruction, academic rigor, and student learning, if successfully implemented. Through our four-study research program, we will provide real-time, objective evidence of standards reform across the country, highlighting useful insights and findings, and sharing them here for policymakers, teachers, and parents.
